The Colts and Titans, according to MSNBC, had communicated prior to their Sunday Night Football game and established ground rules to let the clock run out no matter what. This act is commonly referred to as collusion and the NFL has rules against it, so there could be repercussions for both of the participating teams. The Colts could have called a time out with 25 seconds left and got the ball back to try to win the game but they chose not to spend their time outs.
This whole thing could get real ugly for the NFL if the rabid fan base of the Browns get on it. I expect there to be more rumblings in response to this report. Collusion is not allowed and goes against the bylaws of the NFL. So, if the Browns file a grievance who knows what could happen. But, you can be rest assured this will boil bad blood for the Colts-Browns game scheduled for next season.
I personally don't think anything will happen, but this thing is catching storm on a lot of the major sport sites, so keep checking back here to see whether or not the Browns decide to file a grievance.
The Cleveland Browns have made it clear that they are willing to listen to possible offers that would move Derek Anderson to a new home in the off season. "If anybody's interested in him, we'll just have to see how it goes," Crennel tells the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. "Sometimes people can make you an offer and you can say, 'No, I think I'm going to stick with what I've got.' Sometimes they make you an offer and you say, 'Oooh!' So we'll see how it goes."
So possible suitors, let's hear your offers.
It’s already the last week of the regular season in the NFL and their are a few games that mean something going into Sunday.
Washington plays Dallas on Sunday where Dallas is sure to be resting their stars. Washington is playing red hot right now anyway, and I look for a big day from Santana Moss and company as they beat the Cowboys and steamroll their way into the playoffs.
This leaves out New Orleans who plays Chicago because they need both Washington and Minnesota to lose, and they need a win against, DA Bears. Minnesota takes on Denver Sunday and though AP will have a field day, its going to be one week late, because Washington will beat Dallas and lock up the final spot in the NFC.
The AFC looks like this, Titans win vs Indy and their in. It really doesn’t matter what the Browns do, so they dont have to really win on Sunday against the 49ers. The Titans have to go up to the RCA Dome and beat the Colts who will be playing their starters for atleast a quarter, and they will have back Marvin Harrison. The Titans are very fired up and they know how it feels, from last year to miss the playoffs because of a loss on the last game of the season. I look for the Titans to get the job done in Indy on Sunday Night.
San Diego will beat Oakland and lock up the 3 seed and that means Pittsburgh will grab the 4.
So if im right, Next week we should see the Titans make the trip to play the Chargers and the Steelers hosting the Jaguars. That would mean 3 AFC South teams got in the playoffs, but you never know the Browns could sneak in their if the Titans Choke. It all comes down to the final Sunday, and theirs nothing better.
