Ohio St was up 10 to 0 in the first quarter and then LSU woke up and started to dominate.
Matt Flynn got it going and so did the rest of the LSU Tigers. Flynn led the Tigers to 31 straight points and the Tigers won 38 to 24. The game wasn't even really close.
Flynn finished with 174 yards and 4 tds and 1 pick. Hester also carried the ball for 86 yards and a td. He ran hard for LSU and helped Flynn get more time.
The LSU defense played very well after the first quarter and shut down Ohio St. They really got physical and dominated Ohio St in the trenches. Ohio St had Chris Wells run for 146 yards and a td. He played very well for Ohio St but they really couldn't get anything going after the first quarter.
Hats off to LSU geting a big win for the SEC. Ohio St had a very good season and they played very hard in this game. LSU just had more talent and won the game in the trenches.
Congrats to local boy, Bob Sanders for wining this great award. He is well deserving of it. He is a playmaker and he makes that Average Colts defense look great.
Congrats Bob and keep up the great work.
The NY Giants didn't really have much going for them after the 1st quarter, but then Eli grew up.
Eli led the GMen to a 24 to 14 win over the Bucs in Tampa Bay. Eli threw for 185 yards and 2 tds. He Also got some defensive and special teams help as well. Old faithful Amani Toomer had 7 catches for 78 yards and 1 td.
The Gmen's defense shut down Garcia and Graham and forced turnovers. Barber for the Bucs figured they were going to be able to shut down Eli and the Giants offense, someone should've told Barber that it takes more then just 1 quarter.
The Giants now move on to take on rival Dallas in Dallas this Sunday. Do the Giants have a shot? I think they do and I think they can beat the Cowboys, third time is a charm. Brandon Jacobs can run the football and Eli is playing great football on the road. I think the Giants can keep up with them and their defense is playing great football. Look out Cowboys.
The Titans were dominating the whole first half and the worse thing that could have happened was halftime.
Once again the Chargers came out from halftime and came back and baet the Titans this time 17 to 6. LT was shut down and only had 41 yards. Rivers took over though throwing for over 240 yards and for 2 tds.
The defense stepped up and stopped the Titans in the 2nd half as well, shutting down Vince and the run attack. You have to hand it to the Titans though, they played hard and their very young and inexpirenced.
One must think next year, the Titans could be a very tough team. They must find a way to resign and or franchise Big Albert. Dont forget either, their is someone coming back from suspension, what was his name again, Pac,Pac, Oh yeah, Pacman Jones. Look out!
The Chargers got the job done and now are heading to the defending champs place to try to win for the second time this season. This should be a fun game to watch.
What a game it was in Seattle and now were watching Pittsburgh play the Jags. Come Lock it in with The JMan in our Live Forum.....
The Seattle Seahawks were dominating the whole game until the fourth quarter. The Skins made some stops and then Todd Collins threw two tds. and after being down 13 to 0 they grabbed at 14 to 13 lead.
They then recovered a fumble right after a kickoff on a bizzare play. They missed a great opportunity and then missed a chip shot fg. Seattle then ripped off 21 unanswered points, including 2 defensive tds.
The Hawks dominated the whole game for the most part. The only time they didn't was about the last minute of the third quarter and the first 3 minutes of the fourth.
After that Hasselbeck took them down the field and scored and then the defense picked 6 Todd Collins. It was over after that and now the Hawks will move on to take on the Packers in the Frozen Tundra next week.
Great season by the Skins and they should be very proud. They came from no where to being in a playoff game and having a chance to win in the fourth quarter.
Seattle is absolutly dominating this ball game but only up 10 to 0 with 8 minutes left.
Washington hasn't been able to do anything all day. Todd Collins is getting ate up, and the Linebackers for the Hawks are just all over Collins.
Matt Hasselbeck is throwing the ball all over and leading them on a big drive right now midway through the 3rd quarter.
Washington needs to find a way to stop them or else their in big trouble and they may be golfing after today.
Tom Brady won the MVP award recieving 49 of 50 votes. Brett Farve was the only other person with a vote.
This is no shocker, Tom Brady broke about every record possible and dominated the whole NFL, leading his team to 16-0. He is very deserving of this record and let's see if he can win another Super Bowl, QB ever.
Congrats to Brett Favre who got the other vote. Any other normal year and he would have had a chance. The guy was amazing this year with guys half his age. Lets see if he has any gas left in the tank after such a strong year.
The Detroit Pistons have now won 11 straight games after beating the Toronto Raptors 101 to 85 on Friday night.
The Pistons dominated the game and are now red hot. As ususal the big buys are getting the job done. Rasheed Wallace,Billups, and Rip Hamilton all had great games and played great defense.
Chris Bosh had a good game for the Raptors, having 23 points and 16 boards. Toronto still has a ways to go but they look like they have a bright future with Mr. Bosh at the helm.
Detorit is poised to have another big run this year and try to contend for the Championship. They have the Celtics to worry about, but this team plays great defense and especially at the Palace.
Should be fun to watch the next few months.
The Ottawa Senators beat the Buffalo Sabres Friday night 5 to 3 in Buffalo.
Danny Heatly led the Sens to the victory scoring a goal and assist. The Sens were up 3 to 0 before Buffalo struck 3 straight times and tied it up with 6 and a half minutes left.
The Sens then struck, Mr Heatly went to work and scored, followed by Daniel Alfredsson 2 minutes later to hang on to get the win, in Buffalo 5 to 3.
The once hot Buffalo Sabres now have lost 5 straight and Ottawa has really owned them this year. We all know if Buffalo makes the playoffs the regular season matchups really dont mean anything.
